The number of teenage pregnancies is rising high in Kenya. In order to give these young mothers and girls some time to spend en some training, a sewing workshop was set up where the ‘ladies’ can receive training in textiles. They are taught tot make typical African clothing. There are also plans to take on an order to make uniforms for school or catering. In addition to the manual skills and time commitment, it is also a wonderful oppotunity for the women to be together.
